The Quetta Gladiators won the toss and decided to field first against Peshawar Zalmi in the rain-affected contest and Peshawar scored 170 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 15 overs thanks to Shoaib Malik’s aggressive batting.
Kamran Akmal and Imam Ul Haq started the inning for Zalmi, but Imam returned to the pavilion with a score of 9. Kamran Akmal was then dismissed for 23 runs. Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik batted responsibly for the third wicket.
Haider Ali was out for 39, while Livingstone scored 12 runs and Shoaib Malik was the leading scorer with 54 runs. Quetta’s Mohammad Hasnain took four wickets while Ben Cutting and Sohail Khan took one wicket each.
Quetta Gladiators, in reply, scored 140 for 7 in 15 overs and lost the match by 30 runs. Quetta’s Jason Roy and Shane Watson started the inning. Shane Watson was out for 19 on a team score of 45.
Quetta’s second wicket fell at 75, when Jason Roy got out on 45 runs. After that, Ahmed Shehzad 10, Ben Cutting 17, Mohammad Nawaz 18, Azam Khan zero, Captain Sarfraz Ahmed scored only one run.
Quetta scored 140 for 7 in 15 overs and lost the match by 30 runs. From Peshawar, Wahab Riaz took three wickets, Rahat Ali 2 and Hassan Ali and Yasir Shah took one wicket each.
