Narendra Modi Announces to Quit Social Media

The Prime Minister of India had indicated the closure of all his social media accounts, to which Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi advised Modi to stop promoting hatred.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social networking website Twitter, pointed to close all his social media accounts, said that I am considering leaving Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube channels by this Sunday.

Social media users trolled Modi on this tweet and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote in a tweet that Prime Minister Modi should stop spreading hatred, not social media accounts.

Other users also took to Prime Minister Modi in retrospective tweets and wrote that your fans and activists are spreading hateful content and threatening them on social media.

Taking a U-turn on his tweet, Prime Minister Modi announced,” This Women’s Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions. Tell the world your success story and the message will reach millions of people.”
