NAB Rawalpindi summons Bilawal Bhutto over corruptions allegations

NAB Rawalpindi summoned Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on February 13th in the joint venture Opel case of fraudulent accounts.

Company’s list of board of directors was also sought, while the NAB also directed Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to bring all records regarding the company from 2008 to 2019.

It may be recalled that Bilawal Bhutto is accused of withdrawing Rs 1.22 billion from a fake account for a private company. The joint venture took place between Bahria Town and Zardari Group of Companies, under which Bahria Town had to construct a building on the land of the Zardari Group of Companies.

For a joint venture, Bahria Town gave over one billion rupees to the Zardari Group of Companies. Zardari Group of Companies used fake accounts to transfer Rs 1 billion.
