In a recent interview Indian singer and actor Gippy Grewal praised Pakistanis , their hospitality and respect for sikhs.
He said that he felt like he was at home during his visit to Pakistan. He also said that he felt like he was visiting Canada because the roads were well kept and well maintained in Islamabad. The motorway was super clean and maintained .
He specifically praised the beauty of Islamabad , he said that looking at the roads and the city’s [Islamabad] beauty, I felt like I was in Canada.
The singer had come to Pakistan to visit the recently inaugurated holy shrine of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur.
“The motorway was well maintained and the roads were so well carpeted,” he added.
He also said, “the cars were running at such a fast pace with no obstructions in their way.”
The singer was so stunned to see such hygiene and infrastructure that he asked someone whether he “was really in Pakistan or not”.
“Islamabad is a very beautiful and well-planned city,” he said.
Gippy Grewal praised the city for having public washrooms , he said: “As soon as we get off from the motorway, there were washrooms made there, and I must add that they were finely constructed.”
He said he didn’t see “any litter on the motorway and that there were no animals or children running around.”
